Home, Land and Security
$65.00
Home, Land and Security interrogates who is protected, who is displaced, and who decides. Through layered natural symbols—predator and pollinator, bloom and decay—the work reflects the tension between dominance and coexistence. The leopard signals power and territorial control; butterflies and birds evoke fragility, migration, and interdependence. Ornamental patterns reference systems built to define borders and ownership, while nature quietly resists confinement.
At its core, the piece questions the cost of “security” when land is commodified and ecosystems are treated as expendable. Home, Land and Security is both a warning and a reckoning—asking us to consider whether true safety comes from control, or from stewardship.
